Weed Sticker of a Week

THE week...surgery for Stone, information that Jim has a broken bone in his lower back, my mom has surgery next week for a broken bone in her foot, our church just let go an awesome co-pastor, Navy Seals died in Afghanistan on Friday, America is just AA+, and I just blogged for the last two hours then lost most everything!  So, I am starting over with this simple video of Stone.  His compassion for others, even when he is out because of an anesthetic drug, warms my heart.  And I needed it, because this past week truly felt like a weed sticker that won' get off my cute socks; just bought some Whip It roller derby socks and they are very cute!!!

Half Way Done

At the age of 33 months, Stone's sentences and words crack Jim and me up with enormous amounts of  laughter. Lately, his words have been...I hear dinosaurs up there; the AC unit! Pow-Pow, I am a Jedi.  Stop hitting, Lambie!  By the way, most of the time, Stone says his one liners as soon as he wakes or sees Jim or me in the morning!
Stone's words to me on my birthday this past June...Mom: Guess what today is? It is the day that the Lord has made. Stone: No.  And, I want to tell you something. Mom: What? Stone: My bed is wet. Mom: Oh, no!!! Stone: What's that noise? Mom: The A.C. that cools that house off.  And you need to know that today is my birthday.  Stone: Happy Happy Day!
Well, today Stone taught me something about perspective; again!!!  While playing at the Gage house, Stone said, "I am half way done".  This was his response when he was asked if he had "pooped" because we were getting ready for a swim in the "Wal-Mart" swimming pool. (All of us mommies have our own "Wal-Mart" pool, in our own backyards, but being at a different house is such a treat for both the kids and mommies).  Anyways, I thought to myself and then told Alicia...Good, Stone admitted to poop and him needing more time is such a man thing!  So, after 5 more minutes, there was NO poop just pee-pee.  Perspective is a funny thing!!!  For what Stone thought of as "half way done" was completely different than what I thought!   AND no, potty training failed this summer and Stone shows NO interest.
Gage house backyard and no kiddo "pooped"!

Tomorrow, Stone has surgery for his second set of tubes.  May all go well!

Happy Day

Watching Lambie take a bath for the first time in the new LG washer!

Cooking eggs for the first time!
As the husband is out having his guy time, I am filling in questions about Stone.  The kind of questions that a school requires from parents.  Yes, my little man is going to a private preschool 3 times a week with the help of a caring nanny with whom the whole family absolutely loves!  Btw, I hate the word nanny! The emotions are a bit hard to swallow because I am filling out information on my son that I request from my own student's parents!  Shocking how time flies by...
Watering the grass at the lake house; a job that entertains for HOURS!
"The Gang" ALL most every afternoon...where is Brooks and Mitch?!?!
Stone truly has thought each day has been a Happy Day and I totally agree!!!

The Stanton Star is still Twinkling

Stone loves the sun!
 Stone loves the water!
 Stone loves daddy and mama!
Mama prays over Stone; all the time, but never enough!
Stone is learning to share and must think way too hard about making the right decision!
Mama loves when Stone shares!
 Stone says...mine!!!

Praise God for pictures because I have been gone from The Stanton Star Blog way too long because Facebook became my new way of documenting our family.  We have great pictures of these past two years of our family.  And yes, I documented our family for the last year and half on FB but I was a SMART little cookie by creating a downloaded copy of ALL the Facebook pictures and posts onto a CD.

Jim always disliked FB and I now understand; he feels the same way about blogging too.  I am slowly coming around, with agreement, about his thoughts about "social media" but I am NOT ready to give up blogging.
Just call Jim "Fox Mulder" and me "Scully" from X files!

By the way, these pictures on this post were taken by Jessica who was the AWESOME picture taking lady at the ice-cream church social.
