The Stanton Star is still Twinkling

Stone loves the sun!
 Stone loves the water!
 Stone loves daddy and mama!
Mama prays over Stone; all the time, but never enough!
Stone is learning to share and must think way too hard about making the right decision!
Mama loves when Stone shares!
 Stone says...mine!!!

Praise God for pictures because I have been gone from The Stanton Star Blog way too long because Facebook became my new way of documenting our family.  We have great pictures of these past two years of our family.  And yes, I documented our family for the last year and half on FB but I was a SMART little cookie by creating a downloaded copy of ALL the Facebook pictures and posts onto a CD.

Jim always disliked FB and I now understand; he feels the same way about blogging too.  I am slowly coming around, with agreement, about his thoughts about "social media" but I am NOT ready to give up blogging.
Just call Jim "Fox Mulder" and me "Scully" from X files!

By the way, these pictures on this post were taken by Jessica who was the AWESOME picture taking lady at the ice-cream church social.

In the Blink of an Eye

"Shh, my favorite and only Mommy is blinking and kissing me!"
"My mommy blinks a lot!"
Well, since I last "blinked" blogged, Stone has learned to wave bye-bye and learned how to follow directions. He continues to make his funny faces! Where did he learn that?!?! Oh, from both of his parents!

I love Stone so much! Seeing my young man when I return from work gives me such joy for the precious gift that God has given both Jimmie and me. Today, when I walked into the house, Jim met me at the door holding Stone. Stone started kicking his legs and waving his arms...like he just didn't care.  80's song reference; I think!?!?

I am one of the most blessed women in the world because both of my men greet me at the door with such perfect love! Both, my men might use these words as leverage when they get mad at me!

Real Leadership

Mommy, you asked for what?!?!
Today, I chose not to wear a mask and I spoke with intelligence; based on fact.  Both of these are lost skills by way too many...

I so can't wait to watch this movie and this move with you; my dear joyous gift of a son!

Mommy, these are my friends!
I love hanging out at Grammie's house!
This afternoon was such a blast!

Ecclesiastes 6: 10-12
Lesson learned...
Fear God and nothing else.
Faith in God; not in man.

Wild Wednesday-VENT

It is 3:08 in the early morning on Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 AND I can't sleep because yesterday was such a wild-wacky-whirl of a day. I am glad yesterday is over BUT I can't shake a few things off; even after holding sunshiny Stone!

First, the day started with me asking Jim to hit the snooze button; twice. After getting up and showering, a strong sense of worry for Jim's health and well being came over my soul. Then, I left the house to drive to school BUT only after I smelled the scent of fall in the air.  The crisp-cool air gave me a welcomed pause of thanksgiving for a fellow work mommy and it seemed to ease, for just a moment, my worry for Jim's health.

Well, after a long drive to the school house, I just wanted to drive back home to Jim and Stone. But, I could not do that because of this thing called a J-O-B.

May this day be a Thanksgiving Thursday!!! I mean, gosh...look at these blessings!!!
