OMG

Ok...most of you know that I am still in White Deer. Yes, it seems like I have been here all summer. (Part of June, which included my 31st b-day and half of July). However, Stone is helping his Paw-Paw heal from life saving surgery!!! FYI...I have not seen Jim in 10 days and, as I type on my iPhone, he is flying to White Deer. Tomorrow, Jim will see the doctor in Amarillo who saved Troy's life because Jim too might have the same health difficulties.  I am so giddy to see Jim and I feel like a school girl who is about to see the cutest boy in school!

Now, to the point of the OMG and why I am blogging without downloading any cute pictures of Stone! OMG...I have won the lottery!!! Yes, you read that correctly!!! Now, define the word lottery. Go ahead and define the word in your own mind before reading any further. Pause 1-2-3 for think time! If your definition for lottery involved anything with the words receiving and fate, then you know that the word lottery is not JUST money!

My lottery win was not a rose bush.; Lottery Rose by Irene Hunt reference. Instead, it was a FREE box of books!!! Yes, that's right. I was given or received by fate, a whole box of VERY good-gently used books!!! I love this town called White Deer!!! The librarian, in this quite town, told me to take as many books I wanted from this one shelf in the Carson County library!!! By the way, she held Stone the whole entire time I rummaged through the shelf. I felt like I was an anthropologist who found something that was going to make the world better; at least Stone's world and the students that I teach! One thing that made this lottery win fill the memory brain so quickly was the smell of this teeny tiny library. The smell of all the dusty old books took my breath away and caused a grin from my lips to extend from my left ear to right ear! The smell of the teeny tiny library was like the sensation I felt when sniffing Wal-Mart tires when I was 7 months pregnant!!! Did I really do that??? Giggle-Stone's fate is to be a race car driver

Part of my lottery is shared below. I am sharing my "lottery" with those who desire to rise life long learners. If you are a mama and/or a teacher...some of these books are a must for your night stand or toilet area.  You all know that the toilet area is the best location for uninterrupted reading.

May the fate of you reading this blog be your own lottery win!!!
